About Pete Ryerson

Pete Ryerson is a dedicated and experienced Land Specialist with over ten years of experience selling farms, recreational properties, and acreages throughout the beautiful Loess Hills of Western Iowa. Pete was introduced to the great outdoors by his father who exposed him to hunting and fishing at the early age of 10. With a passion for the outdoors, Pete and his wife Karen purchased their lifelong dream farm in Monona County, Iowa, where they enjoyed God’s amazing glory. Pete’s deep-rooted connection to the land, coupled with his experience in real estate, makes him a trusted professional in the industry.

Raised in New Jersey, Pete started to go to sea at age 18 as a Merchant Mariner, earning his Unlimited Masters License at age 32. While working as Staff Captain for American Hawaii Cruises, Pete developed a strong work ethic and an intimate understanding of hard work, accountability, and to always take the high road regardless of the steepness. Pete and his wife Karen are blessed to raise their four children (3 of which are triplets) in the great State of Iowa and the many values that are embedded in the Hawkeye State’s culture. When not looking at properties, Pete spends his free time with his family and their two yellow labs, Ellie and Willow.

With his extensive knowledge of the local market and a genuine passion for land and rural properties, Pete is a land specialist for those looking to navigate the complex world of real estate in Iowa. Whether his clients are interested in purchasing a hunting retreat, farmland, or rural residential property, Pete possesses the expertise to guide them through every step of the transaction.
