The majority of this property is located on the north side of I-70, with roughly 5 acres on the south side. There are approximately 15 acres of mature rolling hardwoods on the west side of the East Fork of the Embarras River. Most of the trees are white oak, red oak, hickory, maple, and walnut. This area had a significant amount of deer and turkey sign on it. The rolling ridgetops that run along the Embarras make a perfect location for birds to roost.
