Large mature timber lines the creek bed and eventually branches off to the southeast corner of the farm, creating small secluded pockets of food plots or staging areas that are absolutely ideal for archery hunting. Over 24 acres of prime tillable land along the creek is planted to alfalfa, which is perfect for attracting deer and turkeys throughout their respective hunting seasons. This alfalfa also helps the deer pack on the extra inches of antler throughout the growing season with its high protein consistency!
A couple other very unique qualities of this farm that really caught our eye is the hillside on the eastern edge of the property and the obstructed view into the property from the road. On the east side of the property, there is a fenced out stretch of native grass running north to south along the hillside that is completely overgrown with thickets, brush, cedars, a few locusts, and other hardwoods. This area of the farm is a transition area from the large canyoned hills to the creek bottom alfalfa fields. This area is completely annihilated with deer sign. Dozens of trails zigzag back and forth with deer rubs, scrapes, and fresh tracks nearly everywhere. The western half of the farm, which may not look like much on a map, has tall grass, scattered trees, a seasonal pond site, and rises and falls in elevation between the road and the creek bed. This rise and fall in the landscape creates a visual barrier between the road and the heart of the property. The road access to the property is excellent along J Terrace from the west, and there is little to no traffic on this short stretch of county road.
