I'm always asked, "What is the best Big Buck County in Kentucky?" I'm always leery of saying Todd County, not because it isn't, but because it's so hard to find a farm there. A selective timber harvest about five years ago has created a thick cover ideal for making those big bucks feel secure. Varying topography helps create several great pinch points. Multiple access points make hunting the wind more manageable. There is a small wildlife pond and a couple of seasonal creeks. The old farmhouse had a new metal roof installed about five years ago. It makes a perfect hunting camp several steps above "roughing it." There's a large workshop/garage with water and electricity for equipment storage and maintenance, as well as an old tobacco barn. The farm has been leased by an out-of-state hunter for several years. I'm trying to secure some trail cam and harvest photos and will add those when I get them. However, I don't need to see those to know this farm can produce trophy-class deer. It's in the right area, and it's got the right mix of cover and food. If you want to hunt big deer in KY, this is it! Don't wait to buy land, buy land and wait!
