The power system consists of a 15 KW Generac EcoGen generator with an 8 KW Kohler Generator that can be connected as a backup (both run on propane fed from 2 – 1000 gallon tanks), 12 – 215 Watt Suntech Solar Panels, a PT-100 Magnum Solar Charge Controller, 2 – Magnum 48 Volt DC/4400 VA Inverters/Chargers that operate in parallel and Deka 12-D125-15 Batteries that contain 24 total cells at 2 Volts DC apiece, for a total of 48 Volts DC.
The solar panels provide power to the house and charge the batteries when exposed to sunlight. When there is no sunlight, the batteries power the house with the excess power that was collected from the sun. Once there is no sun and the batteries reach a programmable low voltage level, the generator starts to provide power to the house and also charges the batteries simultaneously. Once the batteries are fully charged, the generator shuts down until the battery voltage drops below the low voltage threshold that calls for the generator to restart. The system also has a bypass configuration that allows for the generator to directly supply power to the house only, bypassing all the other components. There is even an app that allows you to monitor battery charge levels from anywhere, anytime. Very easy to use.
The ATT Wifi system with a cell signal booster makes it easy to stay connected if need be while you're enjoying time away at the lodge and a full ADT security system for peace of mind when you are away.
No expense was spared on the lodge or the property and it shows. Beautiful food plots and trails with custom-built tower blinds ready to hunt. Haymarsh Creek runs through the southwest corner of the property. The pond is perfect for family gatherings, fishing, swimming, you name it, all with your own private beach. The pond has a separate well-pump to control water levels at all times. The pump house is set up to run an aerator 6 hours a day via solar during peak sun.
