Potential is what I see with this diverse hunting tract. When pulling up to this property first sights you see are big mature timber on the east side and a nice protected alfalfa field on the NW corner. I instantly thought what a great spot for a food plot, potential home, or cabin. With electricity running along the county road that makes up the north boundary, this adds to the property many possibilities. When exploring the property, you will see the new growth that is regenerating from the selective timber cruise they did 4 years ago. The new growth is coming in thick and most of it is already 10-15 feet high. The mature hardwoods and big pines that are scattered around the property make for good stand locations and provide some extra browse for the wildlife. You can tell the wildlife like the new growth as well as there are tracks everywhere and many rubs on the new poplars coming up. There is a nice trail system established and with the logging done they opened up some areas that would be very easy to plant food plots back into the property. The backside of the property is made up of rolling oak ridges and has a nice spring-fed creek flowing through it. The creek feeds into a wetland area that holds lots of ducks. There is an old trapper's cabin deep in the woods close to state land that borders it on the SW side. The extra 220 +/- acres of state land gives you more room to hunt and recreate.
